The Old World

The old world

The Old World is about Remembering. Its about remembering who we are by exploring and remembering who we were before everything changed. This is a topic that resonates with me because my grandparents were born in eastern Europe in the closing years of the 1800s. I never met my grandparents, as all four of them passed from this world prior to 1955. I was born in the early years of the 1960s.

So, here we go, together on a journey into the past, as I share some of the insight that has showed up in my life over the past seven years. It all began about seven years ago when I stumbled upon a video on the topic of the Orphan Trains. Now, here's why the topic became even more intriguing to me.

As I researched more into this topic of orphans and children, a came upon a bit of research I could hardly believe! Did you know that in 1913 it was possible to mail a small child through the US Postal Service?

The Men and woman of the old world

There  seems to have been an elegance and classic sophistication to the old wold. There seemed to have been a peaceful coexistence with men and women of immense stature, almost giants! Here is a 16 minute video that introduces this concept and validates the scope of this coexistence.

why was the old world removed?

So, like every project manager, I have to ask why. But, I've been asking "why" for longer than I can remember. My curiosity often got "the best of me" as a child! So, here is a video to explore. In the first 2-1/2 minutes you will hear the word "incompatible". The Old World was "erased" because it was "incompatible" with the new narrative. That was some time in the 1800s.

What they had and what they did not have

I was interested to find what I've learned about what the Old World had and what they did not have. For example, they had no debt, no interest and no money. Wow! A world without banks. How was that possible? And, they had no street addresses on their houses up until 1912.

What they did have that we hear nothing about, is their flying machines. Yes, flying machines in the 1800s! That would be before the Wright brothers first flew in 1912.
